Our HSSE approach is built around the prevention of incidents, injuries, occupational illness, and environmental harm. We continuously strengthen our practices through effective operational controls, technology, employee engagement, and a proactive safety culture that places responsibility and awareness at every level of the organization.

The corporate HSSE function establishes the principles, requirements, and minimum standards that guide our operations and provide a consistent framework across our facilities and business units. Clear objectives and measurable performance indicators enable us to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and maintain accountability throughout the organization.

Our HSSE procedures and manuals are developed with consideration for the specific risks and operating conditions of each facility. These provide the foundation for site-level management systems covering risk assessment, safe work practices, emergency preparedness, environmental protection, contractor management, and applicable regulatory requirements.

We place strong emphasis on learning from experience. Incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and unsafe behaviors are documented and evaluated to identify underlying causes, recurring trends, and opportunities for corrective action. Where lessons have wider relevance, appropriate HSSE alerts and findings are communicated across the organization to strengthen awareness and help prevent recurrence.

Regular audits, inspections, management reviews, and performance assessments are used to verify compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of our HSSE systems. Both leading and lagging performance indicators are monitored, allowing us to identify potential risks before they develop into incidents while also measuring the results of our overall safety and environmental performance.
